Super Satellite is self-releasing their first album, a ten song E.P., which was mixed, edited, and produced at Stratosphere Sound in New York City by Geoff Sanoff, whose other works include records by the Secret Machines, Nada Surf, the Sounds, Fountains of Wayne, and more recently, Dashboard Confessional and Television. The CD was mastered at Sterling Sound in New York City by Will Quinnell who also mastered releases by Mindless Self Indulgence, Armor for Sleep, the Blue Van, Lupe Fiasco, and remixes by Amy Winehouse and Rihanna. The album features “Sleepwalking,” the first single, which is an easy-going, catchy, mandolin-laden tune that takes the listener to a cheerful place where there is satisfaction and love in one’s life to the point where nothing else can be a true distraction. “Come Over” is a straight-ahead pop rock tune with 50’s style that encourages even jaded New Yorkers to move their feet and sing along. The album overall is a great and uplifting diversion with more focus on what is good in the world than what is wrong with it.
