这是一个既浪漫但又悲伤的爱情故事。
秋炳（黄宗泽 饰）为人市井草根，与好友大啤（森美饰）以经营雪糕车生意为生。人生无目标地挣一餐过一餐，低学历的他虽对爱情有幻想；但自己知自己事，以自己的条件又怎敢奢望能得到女孩垂青？相反好友大啤凭着风趣随和，基本上已是个追女无数的圣手。虽然他往往都是品尝另类选择。但其实在大啤的心中一直有一个叫毛娇的可爱女孩的存在……
某夜大雨，门铃响起，门外正是来港投靠的表妹朱蒂（邓丽欣 饰）！秋炳见眼前表妹却误以为是推销员，将他拒之门外。此情景却被刚送外卖来的办馆太子女菁菁（赵柯 饰）看到 ，菁菁误以为二人为情侣关係，心有不安…
… 试探下才发现原来朱蒂只是秋炳的表妹而并非情敌，才稍放下心头大石。却碰巧大啤出现对朱蒂想入非非。朱蒂对话间得知大啤是秋炳的同屋，机灵的她就想利用大啤混入表哥的家……
